Nightmare : Single & Video : Well here's another slightly, weird, quirky song I wrote a while back for a children’s orchestra, and like with my previous single, Merry Christmas, I decided to revamp it. Or should I say re-vampire it !

The story behind the song is that many years ago I had a Nightmare that I always remembered, it was about  skeletons, ghouls, zombies, bats, demons, ghosts and Count Dracula. In the nightmare I was living in a haunted mansion in Transylvania ! (Like one does) It was a chilling Hammer house of horror type of place.

Throughout the night there was dancing and partying under the full moon. We were playing music and there was much howling, singing and bats were flying about, it was Halloween so everyone was celebrating, then, as it reached the midnight hour, even more ghosts and strange creatures arrived, they all joined in, some were even jiving and doing the bop, the monster mash and all sorts of unusual scary dances.

There was a witch in the corner sitting over a cauldron, her broomstick next to her, she was cooking bats, worms, spiders, frogs, toads and other strange things, she was chanting , Hocus Pocus and Hubble Bubble, Toil and Trouble, Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble”, she had a book of spells on the ground by her feet, it was witchcraft!

In the background the creaking of coffin lids rising could be heard and Dracula came out in a cloak that was black with a blood red lining .There was lots of screaming and other chilling sounds, the night was misty, eerie, creepy and as I walked through cobwebs, I began to wonder if someone might put a spell on me, it was like being in some weird timewarp, it was very spooky and which one was was the devil in disguise ?

As the night wore on, more spirits were rising, and more ghosts appeared, along with werewolves, mummies and vampires, all were creeping around, there were gruesome monsters and spine chilling creatures coming out from behind gravestones.

Pumpkins littered the moving ground, and voices could be heard saying "trick or treat", it was like being with the Adams Family or the Munsters, or in a scene from Michael Jacksons Thriller!

Then I woke up with a start , it was only a nightmare , wasn’t it ? I hope so.

It was spooky, and creepy, and I was filled with terror!
