Another track from my selection of quirky songs. Features Bugs Bunny, Donald Duck and more. The lyrics are quite mad and tell the story of being lazy and not wanting to do anything with your life. It basically tells the story of working vs unemployed and being too lazy to want to work and staying in bed, hence the lines “busy being lazy”, and the repeating line “got no money“

The  middle eight chants,  “Plenty of people rise on a Monday, Nine to five and a peaceful Sunday, Plenty of days when life’s not funny, Lord we rest upon thy Sunday”.

The video is one of our most unusual, it has various cartoons dancing alongside me, including Donald Duck, Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry and Daffy Duck.

We also used some AI images in this one to give it a slightly psychedelic look. It’s probably one my most choppy and fast cut videos to date.

The music was recorded using old school analogue and early digital synthesizers, including a Roland Juno 106 and a Roland Jupiter 6 and the drums were programmed using a Roland TR909 drum machine.

The style is pop/synth/rock, it’s bass heavy to push the song along. I can’t think of any track to compare this one to as it stands alone in style really.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it, although I had a terrible cold on one of the filming days !!

Anyway I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for watching and listening, please consume my music !

Busy Doin nothing, wasting time today

Busy staying lazy, what is that you say

Got no money, got no money

Get Up - thank you no but I’m ok

I like being lazy cos its my own way

You can say what you like keep the day away

Sun has come a shining life through your window

Oh nooooo

Busy goin nowhere, no place to hide

Busy being lonely, never go out side

Got no money, got no money

Get Up - thank you no but I’m ok,

I like being lazy cos its my own way

You can say what you like keep the day away

Sun has come a shining life through your window

Oh nooooo

Plenty of people rise on a Monday

Nine to five and a peaceful Sunday

Plenty of days when life’s not funny

Lord we rest upon thy Sunday

Busy being no one, no price to pay

Busy being lazy, what is that you say

Got no money, got no money

Get Up - thank you no but I’m ok,

I like being lazy cos its my own way

You can say what you like keep the day away

Sun has come a shining Life through your window

Oh nooooo

Busy being nothin, wasting time today

Busy goin nowhere, what is that you say

Got no money, got no money

Get Up- thank you no but I’m ok,

I like being lazy cos its my own way

You can say what you like keep the day away

Sun has come a shining life through your window

Oh nooooo

Busy goin nowhere, no place to hide,

Busy doin nothing, never go outside

Got no money, got no money

Never go outside, never go outside

Got no money, got no money,

What is that you say, what is that you say

Got no money, got no money

Never go outside, never go outside

Got no money, got no money

What is that you say, what is that you say

Got no money, got no money

What is that you say, what is that you say
